Magnoliadana
Hi Damien, I have calibrated my monitor using your instructions a few different times trying to match my prints. My prints seem to match, but now the overall color on my monitor is greenish yellow and I'm having to do a lot of post processing adjustments to fix the images. I've tried adjusting from 6500 to 7500 and even 9500 to no avail. Is this a sign my laptop monitor is going bad? I mean all images I see (other photographers, different websites) even look this way. I'm currently at 6500. I've also tried viewing in different lights, and the result is the same. I'm on an HP Envy Laptop and I've used the Spyder Elite calibrator. Samantha LaRue
If your prints match your monitor, then please - trust your prints! (Assuming of course these are prints from a professional lab and that they have not been color corrected) I would, however, make sure to take a good look at your lighting to ensure that it's plenty white and bright. More information about that is available here.
