Cindy Young
Something's not working. After I copy and paste some of the blanket above the other layers and set it to Screen mode, and I added an inverted mask (I just assumed I was to do that), that dreaded area just above the blanket will not show the newly added blanket. I going to sleep on this (10:50 pm here in Texas). I'll work on it tomorrow and maybe will see your solution when I wake up! Thanks for all the help so far! Damien Symonds
No, that layer must not be clipped to the others.
Cindy Young
I started over because it still wouldn't mask correctly. Now, is there some way to make Chase's hair not so transparent? I may be getting picky.
Damien Symonds
I don't think your blacks are black yet. May I see that same closeup area without the new blanket layer turned on?

Damien Symonds
Yes, it's still not black around the hair, especially that tallest part. If you move your mouse around while watching the Info Panel, you'll see the numbers are about 25/25/25 instead of 0/0/0 where they should be. Keep painting on the mask of the Levels layer.
Cindy Young
Well, maybe baby-fine blond hair is transparent! I saw all kinds on numbers in the Info Panel, but not 25/25/25 or 0/0/0. I painted and painted with the white 10% brush. Here's what I have now -- which is passable, I think. Thanks for helping so much!
Damien Symonds
This area. This is where the blacks aren't black enough.
