PaulineB
Is there any way I can put these two photos together? I need the child on the right hand side (smiling) added to the other image where everyone else looks good. They're all in different positions so at the moment it doesn't look possible but I really want to try to get one good image for this family. Damien Symonds
Oh gosh. Maaaaaaybe .... It looks pretty darn difficult, doesn't it? The only thing we have going for us is that mum's legs and arm are in roughly the same position. That's probably where you'd have to try.
PaulineB
I've had a go but it didn't look right. I used file place embedded, layer mask is that how you would do it?
Damien Symonds
Yes, that's right.
PaulineB
Ok thanks, guess I was hoping there was some other magic method I don't know about! I'll try again. Thank you.
Christina Keddie
Might it be easier to swap in dad and little sister into the other shot, and then mom's head?
PaulineB
Thanks I've tried that but it didn't work (for me anyway!) I've managed to swap mums head so I think that will have to do. It's still a good image they all look ok. thanks
PaulineB
I've had another go. Does this look passable?
Damien Symonds
No, something's gone wrong here. Dad and the little girl are squashed kinda flat.
PaulineB
Yeah I can see it.... do you think it's a go back to the PSD file and fix or a normal people won't notice situation...???
Damien Symonds
Oh, people will notice! Not least of all the guy himself!!!
PaulineB
Just so I know exactly what you mean by flat... do you mean he's kind of shorter and a bit squished?
Damien Symonds
Right.
PaulineB
How does this look now in terms of perspective/flatness? Also I did a head swap on mum and I had to enlarge her face so now that it's sharpened it looks quite pixelated... what do you think?
Damien Symonds
You're making me nervous now. May I have 100% crops from Dad's and Mum's faces?
PaulineB
crops attached. I'm going to be now and will reply in the morning.
