MissJ
Hi, This is my first time posting in the new forum and I read the posting guidelines so hopefully I do this right. I've been trying to figure out how to this dreamy, glowing look but have been failing. Any tips? Link to photographers Image, my raw processed image, and my attempted at achieving this look. Damien Symonds
I think you've gone the wrong way with this. You seem to have lightened your photo, but surely the other photo is characterised by darkening? It's quite a heavy dark vignette around the edges.
MissJ
Do you think I'm heading in the right direction now? I added a vignette but I feel like I'm still missing something here.
Damien Symonds
Good. In the example photo, they have some light coming in at the top right corner. I think you should do the same. So mask your vignette off that area. Also, I encourage you to add some midtone contrast to the entire background. The easiest way to do that is add a Brightness/Contrast layer and increase the Contrast slider.
