32flavors
I just got a new computer because my old one died. PS was installed the day after I got it. I started editing a photo and discovered that I can't use CTRL+L to add a levels layer to a QM selection. It works to add a levels layer if nothing is selected. I closed out and reopened with no change. Thanks!
Damien Symonds
You have to set that up manually, via Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts. Have you done so? By default, Ctrl L simply opens the Levels dialog, which is much different, and of course destructive.
32flavors
At the time of posting, I had but still wasn't working. When I got the notification of your reply, I went in to add the shortcut again and it worked this time. One of those cases of having someone look over your shoulder to make it work - thanks! I appreciate your help! Edited February 1, 2016 by 32flavors grammar
