I added a hue/saturation layer to change the color of the blanket from blue to purple, but even with careful masking I still cant figure out why the fingers look blue.  how do I fix this?

If you look at the blanket directly below the fingers of his left (our right) hand, you'll see why Hue/Saturation won't work for this anyway, regardless of any cast issues.  See the weird flat shadow areas?

Gosh, I just realised how short-sighted I've been.  I was assuming you wanted the colour to match the flower in the hair, but now I realise maybe you just wanted it to match the fluffy rug?  Which is it?

This looks great.  This is probably a dumb question-but do I just look at the layers to see what  you did?  Thank you!

Yup -- be sure to look in the Properties panel of each layer and check any dropdown menus for different channels on each, to see all the different settings Damien changed.

I cant figure out the second layer, levels.  I duplicated the channel mixer layer and it looks just like yours-but how do I make it skin colored on a levels layer?
