Cannot get black point up to 0.80 cd/m^2

Hi Damien, I'm having a bit of a problem while trying to calibrate.

As the title states I cannot get black point up to 0.80 cd/m^2 the highest I can get it is 0.49 is this going to mess with my calibration?

I can get the white point spot on.

I'm using a Spyder 3 elite and the monitors are new Dell UltraSharp U2417H (which are 99% sRGB).

The cal matches my prints pretty well so I'm just wondering if this will cause any problems with shadow detail or anything?

Absolutely not.  Don't try to mess about with the black point, it's more risk than reward.  Let it fall where it may.

I would just like to add that these monitors came with a factory calibration sheet and this cal did not change the look much at all.

That's great, but it's also largely irrelevant.  The only thing that's relevant is the comparison to your pro lab prints.  How is it?
