Lauren
HI Is there anyway to remove the car in this photo? Just a personal one but i would love to remove it if i could. I have tried cloning was not at all successful.
Damien Symonds
Hi Lauren, I'm interested to have a play with this and see what's feasible. Do you mind posting the actual photo, rather than a screenshot?
Lauren
jpeg or psd?
Lauren
Don't worry i just saw the accepted file types. I have attached a SOOC saved as jpeg
Damien Symonds
Do you think this would pass? I used Liquify to raise the curve of the ground a bit, in order to block out some of the car. That meant less cloning to do.
Lauren
That is amazing! I would love to have a go at replicating your fix. DO you have a video of using the liquify tool? I have only given it a try twice and found i had no idea what to do!
Damien Symonds
I have a video here. The trick to Liquify in most cases - and certainly in this case - is to use a nice big brush. A brush that goes from the fat tree to the left of the girl, all the way to the thin tree to her right.
Damien Symonds
Here's the PSD of my edit (sorry it's such a big file). First, I duplicated the Background layer ("Layer 1") and did the liquifying on it (with a big brush as I mentioned). It didn't matter that I stretched the girl out of shape a bit, because next, I added the mask and just masked where I needed. Then I went back and added a blank layer below the liquified layer, for cloning on.
Lauren
Thank you, i found the video and gave it a go (roughly) how does this look? I think i lifted the ground too high. Is there a way to go back into the original liquify window and adjust it after? Thanks for the psd, I will study it more closely now
Damien Symonds
Yes, the ground looks implausibly high.
