Laptop malfunction

Hello Brian. I hope I made it to the right place. My laptop has essentially stopped working. I don’t know what happened. I can’t click on anything. The curser has the little spinny circle while hovering in certain places. Shutting down doesn’t help, it just does the same thing every time I reboot. 
I’m kinda freaking out.  Any ideas what I might’ve done or what I can do to fix it?

Can you unplug it and then remove the battery?

Hi Brian. Sorry for the delay. I was waiting for a notification in my email for your reply. Lol Wverytving is working now and I ran Glary on it. So far so good. So I’m not sure what the problem was. If it happens again I’ll give that a try. Thank you so much for your response.

Some process could have just been hung up. It happens. Also, be sure to run Windows Updates. Yes, even though it says there are no updates, click the "Check for Updates" button anyway. Windows Updates always lies and says there are no updates, which fools people.
