Feasible editing like Julia?

Hi Damien,

I'm interested in Julia's backgrounds and how she gets this look. I imagine a certain amount in camera but they're almost matte compared to the subject if thats the right term ? Is this a feasible photo to try and learn this look with or not enough DOF?

Hi Stacey, I've moved this post into the correct section.

This style only works on photos with backgrounds that are completely dark (or medium dark, anyway).  Can you find a photo among yours that suits?

Would something like this work? Bit darker but not so green. The photos above are links so hopefully doing this right?

No, sorry, it'll need to be darker than that.

Or find different links, to photos that you like with more light in the background, similar to your photos.
