Photoshop assign a profile

Hi, I have just updated photoshop CC and all settings had reset, I have changed the assign profile to SRGB....... and each time i open a new image it will reset to Adobe RGB how to I get it to remain
Its been a while since setting this up in the beginning, thanks

Oh gee, you must NEVER touch the Assign Profile menu item.

Fix your colour space issues here.

I have done that but it doesnt change anything it stay in adobe RGB? i must be missing something!!

OK i have fixed it in ACR i re read the link, i have edited a few images do i need to reedit them?

I cant see your reply! do i need to re edit my images as i assigned to profile in photoshop with a couple of images instead of ACR, thanks
