When calibrating my monitor do I set it to Srgb?

Recommended Posts

I just read how its important to have your editing software set to the Srgb, but I calibrate it and when I go to save its checked on the bottom that its using my readings from my calibration which looks to be Adobe Srgb, how do I fix this and I assume thats not right.

No, you're a bit confused here.  The monitor calibration profile isn't sRGB, or Adobe RGB, or any other standard form of RGB.  It's very unique to your screen, and it'll be whatever you named it.  More info here.

The one you're seeing at the bottom of Photoshop is the image profile.  And yes, it must be sRGB.  Use this troubleshooter if it's not.
