Dillyss
Hi Damien, I got prints from the local lab. I just calibrated the screen following your instructions for Spyder5. I am sending you some pictures of screen/print comparison. Can you please tell me if they match. My screen certainly looks kind of dark (my husband changes the display profile when he uses it to watch the news or browsing). Is that normal? The value that I stopped lowering the brightness was 98. Suggestions?? Thank you, Dilyana
Damien Symonds
I'm so sorry, I can't help from here. Screens never photograph well. The comparison has to be up to you.
Dillyss
Ok, thank you! I do have a couple of questions though. After the calibration is done, and the color profile loaded, can I inch up the brightness of the screen just a bit without messing the calibration? Do you know on a Mac how to tell what the current brightness level is, since all I see is a stupid slider without values of any kind?

No, absolutely not. And tell your damn husband to stop messing with it. 1 hour ago, Dillyss said: Do you know on a Mac how to tell what the current brightness level is, since all I see is a stupid slider without values of any kind? No, there's no numeric value on a Mac, sorry. Only the slider, as you said.
