Damien Symonds
Talk to me, @Shellylyn. In what way does your screen differ from your prints?
Shellylyn
When I went through the sharpening class I ordered the whole spectrum of prints and matched things up nicely, but I have since moved to a Spyder calibrator and do not feel comfy with it at all. I have also not ordered test prints since switching.
Damien Symonds
You don't need new prints. Of course your lab don't change they way they print just because one of their customers got a new calibrator. Please check the prints you already have. Shellylyn
Ok, I will drag those out in the light of day and get back to you.
Shellylyn
The prints I have seem to match surprisingly well actually, aside from the photos on my screen looking generally brighter overall. Colors are correct though, is the brightness issue due to a setting on my Mac laptop perhaps?
Damien Symonds
Great! So yes, go ahead and calibrate with a lower brightness setting. https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration-instructions/
Damien Symonds
Gee, don't keep me in suspense, @Shellylyn! How did it go?
Shellylyn
So, I have the SpyderX Elite calibrator. I tried following your instructions on calibrating with a Spyder X Pro, but when I get to this screen, there isn't an "Adjust" option. Which number should I choose? I just noticed you have instructions for the Elite! I will try that now.
Shellylyn
That did the trick perfectly! My screen is all good now, thank you!
