How can I turn the saturation down?

Hi, I have calibrated my monitor and had to make a few brightness adjustments manually, but my monitor has way too much saturation compared to my prints, and i cant work out how to turn it down? thanks

Oh, that's such a tough one.  Can you tell me exactly what screen it is, and which calibrator?

sorry I have a Asus VS229 screen connected to my HP laptop using colormunki Display. there is an option to turn the saturation down but it wont allow me to select it

Have you calibrated the laptop screen as well?  Is it over-saturated too, or ok?  (Just trying to rule out an issue at the computer end.)

yes i have calibrated it  and for once the laptop matches my prints perfectly!

For my reassurance, can you tell me how you're comparing the screen to the prints?  I mean, what program are you viewing the files in on both screens?

Ok, and you're dragging the PS window from screen to screen?

umm no, im not sure how to do that? they are connected to eachother with a HDMI cord so i just see the same on each screen

When you do that, both screens assume the calibration profile of the first screen (the laptop one).

You have to have them running as independent screens.  In the Display control panel, have them set to "Extend" not "Duplicate".
