Kathleen Bowie Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 How do I set up ACR to save my raw edits directly to the CR2 file and not to the XMP? I am beginning to outsource some of my retouch work to another company and they do not accept XMP files...but I want the work I did in ACR to stay put! Thank you!
Samantha LaRue Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 You'll need to convert to DNG and edit the files as DNG files. You cannot alter a cr2 file directly. 2
Anna-Lena Ström McGrath Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Have you read this about XMP data Kathleen? If you have, disregard it, if not...take a look. It's a good article by Damien. 1
Damien Symonds Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I'm wondering why you're sending them raw files? If they have xmp data it means you've already edited them. 1
Kathleen Bowie Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Good point Damien. It looks as if they only accept JPG, TIFF & DNG files. Which would be the best to send them? I will do my raw edits myself first. Edited February 6, 2016 by Kathleen Bowie
Damien Symonds Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Then send Level 12 jpegs. It would be madness to do any different. 2
Kathleen Bowie Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Ok. Will do. Thank you very much Damien and everyone!
