Changing/Fixing backdrop

Over the past two weekends I have taken dance pictures and my backdrop is awful. How would you suggest fixing this. I've been selecting the dancers and masking them out to change to background to a solid color. But now that I have over 50 to do, this is getting to be too much. Is there an easier way to do this without having to cut them all out every time?

The first two pictures are before and after. The 3rd is an after. The 4th is one that I'm just stuck.

Please let me know if there is an easier way to do this.

Ok, good.

I URGE you not to try to change its colour.  Just add a smooth layer of the colour that's already there, to save yourself the hassle of tedious masking.

By the way, are you aware your photos are Adobe RGB?  This is VERY bad.

Oh no! I didn't know that...dang it!! Great! Normally, I don't have to do this step but I guess something went wrong. I normally edit in Lightroom then in Photoshop. This time I'm just doing Photoshop and I skipped Lightroom. Thank You!

When you say just add a smooth layer of the colour that's already there...then wouldn't you have to mask back the dancer?
