ASOR
I am nervous about printing in color for an issue for a magazine that normally publishes only blk and white, now they want the first color cover. I'd love some help on some steps that should be taken in order to achieve the best outcome color wise. So once you have the company's print profile, how do you save image for that? My reason for asking is my PS CC is set up to save as SRGB, would changing to their particular profile used affect this? I'm not very knowledgeable in color profiles. I've had mine set up to print my work perfectly with my print company and never had to go outside of that to ask additional questions for knowledge in other areas concerning profiles. Blk and whites aren't as much as an issue for me as my color image would be. Found this so sent this to the editor to read. What other kinds of questions should I be asking? http://www.damiensymonds.net/.../please-be-wary-of-cmyk.html Thanks in advance!
Samantha LaRue
Once you know what they need from you, it's as simple as converting to the proper profile (do not assign, only convert).
