Understanding My Calibration Results

I recently purchased an xRite i1Display Pro calibration tool.  I used it for the first time on my iMac.  I've followed your instructions and landed on the following results.  The last result is the one that matches my prints 'better' than the first two attempts, though according to your notes my first attempt seemed to be the 'best' one.  However, I know that makes no difference as I just need to have my prints match my monitor. 

My prints came from WHCC.

According to xRite the technology type for my Retina 5K is GB-LED, which is what I chose. 

My first attempt was:  white point = native, luminance = 100, other settings per your instructions.  (I chose large as my patch set)

Results:  Achieved white point is 6418 (very close to 6500) and luminance was within 4 points but screen was cold (blue) compared to warmer prints.  Lines on second graph on top of each other.

My second attempt was:  white point = native, luminance = 90, other settings per your instructions.  (I chose large as my patch set)

Results:  Achieved white point is 6422 (still very close to 6500) and luminance was spot on but screen was still cold (blue) compared to warmer prints.  Lines on second graph on top of each other.

My final attempt was:  white point = D55, luminance = 90, other settings per your instructions.  (I chose large as my patch set)

Results:  Achieved white point is 5454 (not very close to 6500) and luminance was spot on.  Screen was warmer with this run and is comparable to the prints but I think I might be able still get closer.  Lines on second graph much further apart.

Have I done calibration correctly or do the numbers on my last result show I've done something wrong?

I am in a large open area and I sit at a desk that has a double window a little behind and to the left.   I typically don't turn on any overhead lights during the day because they are overhead and glare onto the computer.

Sounds good.  And do you do all your editing during the day?

Yes, the majority of the time.  I will on occasion edit at night and that would be with a tabletop lamp about 8 feet away from the computer.

Well, if your calibration has given you a print match during the day, that's all we can ask for. Sounds good.

OK, yes, the calibration gave me pretty close to my prints.  The whites are what seem a bit off but all the other colors are good.
