Stacey Sedgman
Hi Damien, Do you have a tutorial or can you recommend one for installing/loading icc profiles in PS CC? Printing for my own purposes on canon but the colours are terrible
Damien Symonds
This is not my area of expertise by any means, but I do know that icc profiles for printing are meant to fine-tune the results. They're not meant to fix "terrible". If your colours are terrible, there's something else at play. In what way are they terrible, exactly?
Stacey Sedgman
Overly saturated, quite yellow and dark. I had them set up in CS5.5 and never really had a problem however since switching to CC its not great.
Damien Symonds
Generally, this has something to do with "Let Photoshop manage colors" vs "Let printer manage colors" in the print dialog. Which is yours set to; and do you know if it's the same as you had it in CS5?
Stacey Sedgman
I have them both set to PS manages the colours.
Damien Symonds
You still have CS5 installed? And it still prints fine?
Stacey Sedgman
No unfortunately. Once you confirmed my first couple of raws were good I got rid of cs5. I'll run a clean on the printer and see if that helps. I found a thing on how to update icc profiles in ps cc so will try again shortly.
