B&W issues

Hi Damien, 

I am having issues when converting this image to B&W.  I am using your action and this it only with the 'leave on' layer on. I think I perfer colour but would like to know why this happens and if there is a solution. Thank you!

Yes the shirt. It happen before when I tried to convert an image with a red jumper too.

Yes, it's because there's clipping in the Red channel (at the left-hand end) on the shirt.

So if you wanted to do a black-and-white of this one, use Channel Mixer for your conversion.  Add the Channel Mixer layer, check the "Monochrome" box, then enter 0%, +100%, 0%, 0% for the four sliders.
