Editing old Photos

Hi Damian,

I'm making a year book from long ago.(1970). I have all the pictures of the grads but many of them need a lot of fixing. These two are typical. I have tried everything I know (raw filter etc), but some are still not great. Do think they are salvageable? Also, I was adding a vignette to them for interest. Is this a mistake?

They are what they are.  Just try to make them all roughly similar brightness, but accept that you can't create detail where none exists.
