LIGHTS OUT!

At this point turn off the lights or pull the blinds, or whatever. Strictly speaking, the surrounding light shouldn’t matter, but it can’t hurt to be extra safe.

The calibration

Now it's time for the device to take all its colour readings.  Press the green "Start Measurement" button:

It will slowly show itself a whole series of colours.  You can go and make a cup of tea while it's doing this.

When it's finished it will tell you to remove the device from the screen.

Lights back up

Now you can turn your lights back on, or open the blinds, or whatever.
