I have a Mac laptop running MacBook Pro/Mac OS Sonoma and Photoshop 2024. It is under 2 years old, and has 8GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 7.81GB free out of 494.38GB, and it runs a ? graphics card. The last time I shut down was more than 2 days ago. I rarely run a cleanup program.
Damien Symonds Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Holy shit. 22 minutes ago, Ang said: has 8GB of RAM This is bad. You really can't run Photoshop without 32GB of RAM these days. 23 minutes ago, Ang said: Its hard drive has 7.81GB free This is cata-bloody-strophic. You have to get that figure up to at least 150GB, pronto.
Damien Symonds Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Start by running CleanMyMac. Then start purging and archiving.
Ang Posted May 7, 2024 Author Posted May 7, 2024 As of yesterday I only had 7% left of space on my computer and I've been working at it today so now I'm up to around 34% so far. Definitely a work in progress.
