Remove tool just stopped working???

Hi!

I was in the middle of removing a flyaway hair from a face and I highlighted it with the remove tool and then let go and the pink line just stayed there and didn't go away...neither did the hair underneath it. I was able to get it to work in Photoshop Bata but not the regular Photoshop. I updated the software, shut down and restarted my computer, deleted the hot and tried a new one.. nothing helps.. Help please! Thanks so much!

I have a Mac laptop running Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 and Photoshop 2024. It is over 2 years old, and has 32GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 113.73GB free out of 994.66GB, and it runs a Built in Liquid Retina display graphics card. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I have never run a cleanup program.

That all should be okay, but that's a heck of a long time without a cleanup.  Please run CleanMyMac and let me know once you have done so.
