Hi Damien,

I can't seem to open files from Bridge to RAW. When I tried initially, the files were opening in Elements. I checked my Creative Cloud desktop and didn't seem to have Camera Raw, so I have installed it and it now shows up on my CC desktop. However now when I double click the photos I won't to open in Bridge, nothing at all opens.

Yes well I had a major whoopsie and at some point accidentally changed my camera settings to take JPEGs instead of RAW. And didn't notice for more than a year. All my RAW are off the internal HD and google told me I could open JPEGs in ACR so I tried to continue with the JPEGs. I can transfer some RAWs from by archive though... give me a minute.

I bought the three year license to Elements. Elements doesn't show up in CC desktop. Bridge does. And ACR does too, now that I have downloaded it.

Get "Camera Raw editing is not enabled" etc

Same when I right click and "open in camera raw".

Yes. "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor 25.0 (default) comes up first, below that 'Browse', below that 'Change Associations'.

Right.  Downloading ACR messed something up.  You DEFINITELY didn't need to do that.

Let's try something different.  Go to Elements itself, choose File>Open, and navigate to a folder of raw files and open one.  Does it open okay?

I have a PC desktop running Windows 10 and Elements 2025. It is over 6 years old, and has 8GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 44.9GB free out of 118GB, and it runs a Radeon Vega Graphics graphics card. The last time I shut down was more than a week ago, because I'm an idiot. I rarely run a cleanup program. 😆

(I did very recently run a Glary Utilities clean up)

Yes. And Elements opens. Who would have guessed? Prompts me to install the ACR plug in which I am doing now.
