Damien Symonds Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Well, we need to try to figure out why your screen matches one set of prints but not the other. Can you think of any tiny reason why they might be different?
Sndrkstr Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago The first set was photos from 2023 which I first edited on my laptop and then I openend them again with the new computer and screen and changed the editing to my liking. Then I ordered the prints. The pictures where shot in sunny weather at the sand beach close to the water. Shiny and bright surrounding. The second set I edited on the new computer & screen. The pictures were taken at a kindergarten. Sunny day but I found shade under a blooming tree. Green grass, green leaves, shade. Maybe the sunny pictures were too blue, too but it did not seem as bad because of the light colours and the yellow sand. The pictures with a lot of green and shade look way more blue and dark. I stared at the prints and my screen a lot yesterday....I think the first set is slightly blue and also darker than the screen. But the difference is not as big so that I was happy with them. I knew the brightness had to be less bright than the screen because it is paper and not lit like a screen. The second set seems darker and not so bright because it has more dark colours I guess. Do you think this could be it?? Or have I been staring too long and am making things up now ? I took the photo that looks worst and edited it again a little warmer with the screen at 6500k and also again at 5000 K. Waiting for the prints now.
Damien Symonds Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I guess you need to reorder prints of the exact same files you printed the first time. If they come back looking different, you'll know it's a lab problem.
