1st time Calibration help

Hi Damien, Im trying to get started on my first time Calibration with a Spyder5 Elite, and Im not sure where to find my Laptops screen colour temperature 

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop

Ok, so adjusting brightness before calibrating its hard to get it to match as I only have a brightness slider and the contrast is still way up on the screen compared to the print

Ah, just do your best.  Ballpark is sufficient for now.

Ok next step back to trying to find the colour presets ... cant find any options there

ok, So I cant find information on the Labs colour specs, and they have closed for the day. so I should wait to finish calibrating until tomorrow when I can find that out ?

No.  Assume 6500K and keep going.

Ok all done, and compared. I think the brightness and colours look really good but there is a slight difference in contrast

On a laptop, you might have to live with that.
