Why are my images opening in CS5 like this?

Not sure what I changed, but when I open an image up in PS CS5 now it open off to the right, and the ruler at the top looks off too.  How do I get the images to open as they used to?

Have you tried clicking on the little yellow (-) and green (+) buttons under the Apple menu?

Thanks for the response.  The yellow button will minimize photoshop, and the green increased it slightly to this screenshot.  The inches at the top went from 25 on the left to 17:

Great!  Now go to Window>Workspace>Reset Essentials.

Is it an iMac?

No visible difference in any other programs? Just Photoshop? What about Bridge?

No other programs seem to be affected...I rarely use Bridge but will open it in the morning to see.   I figured I hit some kind of key combo that made this awkward workspace...it's annoying as hell.

In that case, I think you'll need to reset Photoshop's preferences.  Hold down Cmd Opt Shift as you launch it.

Will I lose all settings, actions, brushes that I currently have loaded in PS?

Settings, yes.  Actions and brushes shouldn't go.  But make sure they're backed up, just in case.

Well nuts.  Any clue why this has happened?  I appreciate all your time and suggestions by the way.  And this new forum...so much cleaner and easier than the fb group.
