I need some PS help that is beyond my knowledge base. I am working on a SL for a Moravian Lovefeast. I need the word "LOVEFEAST" on the cup and the dessert plate. I have taken a picture of the cup and plate. I have also made a PSD file of the word "lovefeast" in my choice of font. I know how to place the word on my image so that I can resize. Not sure if I use place embedded or placed linked. Next, I am not sure how to curve it for the plate or make it look correct on the cup. I know where to place the word but not how to curve it.
I did crop the photo as I am working on the word to go on the cup and plate and not the complete still life. I did a bit of ACR editing. Here are my files. My word file is PSD but I couldn't upload it here and had to use PNG. I will resize it at the appropriate time when I do the complete SL scene.
BTW, I was sorry to hear you were sick. I so hope you are feeling much better.

I will tackle the aqua box when I get back from visiting the elk.

I have a satinish round box I want to photograph and turn from aqua to a pretty pink. It's a start at changing the color of an object. I think I need some ideas of what I can use to work with as I don't take pictures of people and this box is the only thing I can think of to use.

I have a satinish round box I want to turn from aqua to a pretty pink. I dont do people so dont have clothes to change colors on like others do. Anyway. I am working on a few older photos in raw. My still life photos and props should give me lots of examples to work with. Next week, I should have some new material to work with. My daughter, Tammy is taking me to a neat place, Cataloochee Valley, NC. I'll be shooting wild elk at the butt crack of dawn on Wednesday. I have done this before. However, I need to re-edit my older elk pictures. These were taken when the sun was shining on the elk in the afternoon.

I agree. I know I am not ready to move on. That's why I picked a goal of after the new year. I have to figure out and work on changing colors on an object. That's where I am stuck. But I'll work through this.

Well, it might suit you better to scan the whole page, then crop each photo out into four separate files afterwards? That's what I do sometimes.
Yes, you need to get your ass into the Levels Class!!!!! It's VITAL for these.
I cant afford it until after the new year. Us old folks are getting an 8.7% raise. Plus, I havent finished learning masking. Gotta do that. AND..you havent invited me in.

Many of the photos I have are in albums where I cant remove. I tried. They tore. So I have to mend those. Am I correct in that I need to scan each individual picture using the DPI info you listed?
I am liking my new scanner. Another question. Do I need to do anything else special to get these ready for print? BTW, working on things like this really saves on gas.

I just found this. Thank you for posting this. I am acronym challenged along with a few other challenges.

Damien, I would love to get a scanner. However, this one is out of my affordable range. Would this one work? Epson Perfection V600 Color Photo, Image, Film, Negative & Document Scanner it also is 9600 DPI.

I did it!!!!!!! My best time to calibrate is after dark. cover the screen of the laptop and cut off the lights. I am still going to try and get another bulb for my recessed light. Oh, I did have to cancel and go back to the start a few times. I think my brightness is set at 78. Good night!!

My monitor is a Dell S2723HC. I chose Wide LED when I did the last calibration. Is this the right choice?
