  1. Sorted. I cropped my logo file to have less dead space around the edge of the logo & its much better now.
  2. Yes it it. Its quite big. Do I need to find out what they suggest to upload?
  3. I brought it off an etsy shop, which has since closed down. I have tried to contact them. I only have it in png format.
  4. Hi Damien, Is there a way to make the text in this image bigger in photoshop? I'm not worried about making the file bigger as such, just the writing in the image (but without loosing any pixel quality) The reason I am asking... when I upload it to my pixieset website the logo is tiny & I would love it to be a bit bigger & stand out more. I'm just un-sure how to do this
  5. Thank you Brian, this is exactly the info I wanted to know. I'm happy to go with the more expensive one. Is DELL still your pick for monitors? I'm guessing technology moves quite fast with this.
  6. I think your asking "do I see whats wrong with above" If so, yes. It says 4 pixels x 6 pixels. I'm wanting to know how to re-size something for the awards when they don't give you a specific size. ie 3000 pixels on the longest side.
  7. Re-sizing is something that confuses me! I want to enter a few different photos in Asia Pacific Photography Awards & these are the only instructions they give you on the size. How would I best do this?
  8. If I need to re-size something for online to this size, how would I do it? FILE SPECIFICATIONS We recommend resizing your jpeg image to 3000px on the longest side. This will make the upload process quicker. You can call your file whatever you like, as the system does not require specific names for upload.
  9. random question. when you use the crop tool, what is the number I am missing from the box at the top? When I crop this the picture disappears 🙃
  10. Thank you, I am just looking online for one now. What is the difference between these two? https://www.progear.co.nz/cameras/colour-calibration-calibrite-colorchecker-display-plus/30237 https://www.rubbermonkey.co.nz/Calibrite-Display-Plus-HL-Colourimeter?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvtzt9d-4hAMV46NmAh2ahwuwEAQYASABEgJni_D_BwE I have a White LED Dell Ultrasharp screen, just checking I purchase the right one.
  11. Awesome, thank you. I un-fortunately purchased it a few years ago (it doesn't feel that old) Although I should be good for a few years now with a new one 😉
  12. I feel like it fired up this morning & after I run the update didn't. I guess it is time for a new one. How annoying!!
  13. Hi Brian, I calibrate my DELL U2419H screen, usually monthly. I have just started running two screens & haven't calibrated anything for a while. I have plugged it in this morning & followed Damien's instructions for i1 DISPLAY PRO & looked like it will not turn on. I have tried multiple USB ports, but no luck. My question is, if I needed to replace it, is this brand still a good one to go for? Or is there better out there now? I have attached a screenshot of the error message to show you. And have tried restarting my computer with it plugged in, but no luck.
  14. Thank you. So if I keep using my grey card it'll work.
  15. The tricky part is this is Resene’s whitest paint. This may be a silly question, if I’m not shooting off the actual wall, ie I will use a wood wall & most likely backdrops. Is it super important this white matches 100%?
  16. Would you say right hand side is an acceptable match?
  17. Now that you have said that, I see the white balance looks ok on the sheet & really off on the paint.....
  18. Hi there, This is a question of a different type. I am about to paint my studio & there are so many whites to pick from, being that this is something I want to do once. I have taken a picture of the four white I have got samples for, using my white balance sheet I have taken a picture of them. I'm not sure if I should trust my white balance card. Any suggestions, or where to find information about what paint colour is best for a photography studio? there is only natural light from a window in here, lights were off.
  19. Whoops, sorry I skipped the noise part because that was different & thought if I don't deal with the noise no point in sharpening.
  20. I skipped the sharpening bit (only because that is completely different since updating photoshop & I'm about to go back & re-read this, but they need the photos) I re-sized to 2048 pixels longest side & save jpg 11.
  21. The charity will use them on fb first, then newspaper. but happy to do fb first.
  22. All done. Now the correct way to save it from here?
