thesnowwhite Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I have read some tutorials online but nothing seems to work so thought I would ask the best. I am including a flattened version, but I have the layered Photoshop version.
Samantha LaRue Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Do you have a link to a design you'd like to imitate the chalky-ness of?
Damien Symonds Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Partially reducing opacity of all the text would be the first step.
thesnowwhite Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 I tried reducing opacity, but it just made it more grey than chalky. Here is an example: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/399272323190541653/
Damien Symonds Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 What makes you think those Pinterest ones weren't actually drawn with chalk, and photographed?
Christina Keddie Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 There are also chalkboard fonts that are specifically designed to look "chalky." ETA: And I suspect most of the examples in that pinterest link were created with such fonts, if they weren't actual chalk designs that were photographed. 1
thesnowwhite Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 I have found several step by step tutorials that made any font look like it was on a chalkboard so I will just keep looking at other tutorials online to see if I can get the look I want. Thanks for the ideas and feedback.
