Melissalile Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I dowloaded the newest software, and now the settings are different than in your instructions. Here is the first screen. Suggestions? When I click the Technology type, there are no choices.

Melissalile Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Well, do I win the award for the most stupid question today? LOL
Damien Symonds Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 No, not at all. It's a funny glitch that catches everyone out, me included.
Melissalile Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Good to know! By the way, the dimming/brightening when I click on Photoshop is still happening! Grr.....
Melissalile Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 It's just once in a while when I click back on Photoshop from something else like mail or the internet. And, it's not the whole screen that dims/brightens, just the photo that I have open.
Melissalile Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Ok, after 4 tries, I think my laptop monitor is calibrated properly. Now, when I am ready for the external monitor, can I click the button that says "match this to another display profiled with Colormunki....."?
Damien Symonds Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 There's no reason to recalibrate the external display. If it was correctly calibrated before, it still will be.
Melissalile Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 I'm looking at my prints on the laptop vs the external, and the external is definitely brighter. Better safe than sorry. It's about time to recalibrate it anyway.
Damien Symonds Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Ok. The "match" thing is flaky - you can give it a try, but don't expect miracles.
Melissalile Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 I didn't expect a perfect match. I got it close enough 1
