Eddie Erickson Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Would anyone like to take a stab at a raw image I am having a hard time editing? I know conditions were less than perfect....too harsh of light just before the Golden Hour, client in a hurry...learned my lesson.....anyway, client loves this image (shouldn't have shown it; but only one with the revered hat), and wants it in print. Hated the print....don't know what more to do with it... I have signed up for the raw class and will be hitting it hard after next week when I get back from vacation, but I'm hoping someone will be able to save this image so I can get it printed and move on, lol. I'd like to get rid of the haze and bring back total color of the skin.
Christina Keddie Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 It's hard to tell at this small size, but it looks like it's out of focus?
Eddie Erickson Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 I will get back to you in the next half day. Things went crazy here, lol. I will send a cropped version. Thank you
Christina Keddie Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (No rush -- Damien and his family are on vacation for the weekend. )

Christinta, I loaded the image back on a memory card and reviewed it in camera. Focus point is on his chin. just slightly right.

Focus point is on his chin his right side, left in image.
Eddie Erickson Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 So, any idea how I can lighten this, make sure his shirt gets back to the black and off white that it originally was, jeans blue and stump gray, red taken out of face and arms?? I've been working on it so much and I'm not getting anywhere. I'd appreciate any input or maybe steps to get this image where I need it so I can print? (I will be starting the raw class in about a week, when I get back from vacay)
Damien Symonds Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I'm sorry Eddie, this all starts with raw processing. You'll have to wait.
Eddie Erickson Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 No just trying to find it Moving on to learning
Damien Symonds Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 The colours are a bit weird - sort of like a painting. If that's what you were going for, you nailed it!
Eddie Erickson Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Yo, by the way. I signed up for the raw class but can't figure out to find it or follow it. so far not what I expected but not giving up as I love learning a better way to get it done.
Damien Symonds Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 What don't you understand? Did you find the Table of Contents? Actually, the more pertinent question is, did you get my email after you signed up?
