Hi I have exported some files accidently at 72 pixles per inch.  The file size is 4944 × 3296.  How big could I print this?  Does the 72 matter?

No, it doesn't matter a damn.  It's a completely meaningless number.

4944x3296 is sixteen megapixels.  That's plenty big enough to print as big as a truck, as long as your focus is good.
