As you know I've had a issue with my scratch disc I was told the other day to free up some space when I down load my photos size them at web size is this so . Mine are like large like 4000x2000 would that help at all . Cheers
Damien Symonds Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Oh no, you must never never never do that! That would be catastrophic. Always preserve every precious pixel your camera captures. To free up space on your hard drive, move the photos you're no longer editing onto two external hard drives. Do you own two external hard drives?

Damien Symonds Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 It's so important, you know? We can never trust any form of digital storage to be safe ... in fact, it's best to assume that every drive could fail tomorrow. So never keep only one copy of your important files.

Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Don't get confused by the term "Scratch Disk". It's not some mysterious extra hard drive hidden on your computer. It simply refers to the amount of free space on your hard drive; and it sounds very much like you don't have enough free space.

Damien Symonds Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Yeah, that's nowhere near enough. Ten times that would barely be enough, in fact. You have to get some files off there onto your backup drives.

Glynda horsfall Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Hello Damien my PC only had a 500GB hard drive so I sent it ofto the doctors to get a 1TB hard drive in it so hopefully that will fix the problem.

Glynda horsfall Posted February 7, 2018 Author Posted February 7, 2018 Hi Damien I just heard back from the computer repaire man & my computer doesn't have a normal hard drive it has like a RAM thing in there so I can't get the bigger drive I just have to use external hard drives .
