New computer

So I just got the HP ENVY.. the color is HORRIBLE! After speaking to a friend who says she HATES it I'm thinking of returning it.. Can you please suggest a good laptop??? I would prefer a laptop instead of a desktop

Ok.. I found it... Looked up some of the Dell recommendations... I didn't see anything about the "all in one" computers our touch screens... Does it matter If I get one of those?

Is it doable to get computer and monitor for $1000? 

I have a monitor.. But it's nothing special so I'd like a better one

Concentrate on the computer for now.  If you have to use your existing monitor for a little longer while you save for another one, that's ok.

Unless you want to hate life, do not get a all-in-one touch screen for photo editing. 

For a decent editing computer that will last you around 5+ years, expect the final cost to be between $1000-$1500 for everything. If you are looking only to spend $500 total, expect to be replacing that system in about 18-24 months.
