Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 So I just got the HP ENVY.. the color is HORRIBLE! After speaking to a friend who says she HATES it I'm thinking of returning it.. Can you please suggest a good laptop??? I would prefer a laptop instead of a desktop
Damien Symonds Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hi Cynthia, have a browse through the Ask Brian section. This is been discussed a number of times.
Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 I REALLY wanted a laptop but not so sure... I saw the laptop you recommended but it's like $1600!!! With that said... What desktop do u recommend???
Christina Keddie Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Have you scrolled down in this subforum yet? About 4 threads down is one asking exactly this question and getting a very detailed response from Brian. 2
Christina Keddie Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (Also, no need to start new threads for the same question. I've taken the liberty of merging your two threads to keep everything in one place.)
Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Sorry... First time posting and looking thru the forum
Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Also.. U said 4 threads down... I can't even find where I was at! Lol! I guess I need to explore this forum some more
Christina Keddie Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Right here. In the Windows & PC Hardware Forum.
Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Ok.. I found it... Looked up some of the Dell recommendations... I didn't see anything about the "all in one" computers our touch screens... Does it matter If I get one of those?
Cynthia Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Lol! Ok.. No touchscreen.. Is it doable to get computer and monitor for $1000? I have a monitor.. But it's nothing special so I'd like a better one
Damien Symonds Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Concentrate on the computer for now. If you have to use your existing monitor for a little longer while you save for another one, that's ok. Where are you? Which country, I mean?
Brian Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Unless you want to hate life, do not get a all-in-one touch screen for photo editing. For a decent editing computer that will last you around 5+ years, expect the final cost to be between $1000-$1500 for everything. If you are looking only to spend $500 total, expect to be replacing that system in about 18-24 months.
