However, I don't know how to backup my files now. Can you point me in the right direction? I am a Mac user. My operating system is High Sierra, Version 10.13.6 Thanks. jcashin Posted August 27, 2018 Author Share Posted August 27, 2018 I used the path that Lightroom suggested. There's an option in Lightroom that allows you to set up a schedule for backups. This, in a nutshell, is the problem with Lightroom - its users don't truly know where their files are. Where did you backup to? An external hard drive, or a cloud? For the main "Macintosh HD" drive, yes. As far as your external drive? Probably not. Time Machine usually ignores external drives, which is a good thing. You don't want Time Machine backing up your Time Machine Drive to itself. That would be bad. If you are really concerned about your main external HD that has all your photos, make a duplicate of it to another EHD and keep that EHD off site. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
