Falon Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Hey Damien, I would like to create some more bubbles in this photo so you can see his looking up at them. Id also love to create some blurred ones as if they are in the foreground. Is this going to be possible. I have attached the photo I want to add them to and then a photo to show you what I mean with the blurred ones.
Damien Symonds Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 How are you going to create them? Do you mean photograph some more bubbles?
Falon Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 I don’t know can you make them in photoshop or do they look too fake?
Damien Symonds Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Somebody like you, doing this kind of work, should have made a library of bubbles by now. Crank up your bubble machine, or wand, or whatever, set up a black backdrop, and start photographing. Take plenty of photos at different sizes and apertures. When you edit them, make sure the background is nice and black. Then you can simply File>Place them on and change the layer blend mode to Screen.
Falon Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 Omg didn’t realise it was that simple (slaps hand across head) thank you I will do this
Damien Symonds Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Gosh yes, fantastic! But blacken those blacks. 1
Falon Posted September 3, 2018 Author Posted September 3, 2018 is there any way of making them stand out a bit more
Damien Symonds Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 That's a good question. I assume you can clip a Levels layer to the bubbles layer and move the white and middle sliders? Would that help? I also imagine you could clip a Hue/Sat layer above that and increase the Saturation.
