Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Hey Damien can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here I'm up to creating the lines and its not working for me
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Do you have the tool set to "Subtract" in the options bar?
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 And at the left, I think it's supposed to be on "Shape" not "Path".
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 When i have it on shape it looks like this. I noticed in the layers boxes it works on the one but won't give me the options on the cake. Im guessing it has something to do with the square in the bottom corner of each layer. The cake doesn't have one how would i get that back?
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Hey Damien, Hows this looking? Can you help me with resizing so it doesn't look pixelated
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 What's looking pixelated? The photos?
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 They shouldn't look pixelated at 100% view. That's an oddly small size. Is this for a place card or something?
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 No I thought I may have done this wrong when I seen that. Do I need to re start at a better size?
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 No no, not at all. Your file, as long as you've done everything properly, is infinitely resizable. By "properly" I mean all the shapes are vectors (paths), and the images are placed as smart objects. So, back to the question - you must have been looking at greater than 100% view, right? That's why you thought the photos were pixelated?
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Yes I was looking at 200% they do look ok at 100% but if I wanted to print this at a 8x10 would it print terrible
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Here is my layers panel all photos I placed 1
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 2 minutes ago, Falon said: Yes I was looking at 200% they do look ok at 100% but if I wanted to print this at a 8x10 would it print terrible Of course not! Calm down. Just crop it to 8x10 in the usual way (DON'T flatten first!!!!) then sharpen per the sharpening class instructions for storyboards. 1
Falon Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Omg thankyou I was worried there for a bit
Damien Symonds Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Well, let's not beat around the bush. You were pretty stupid to create this file at 2x3 inches. You're damn lucky. 1
