Brush inverted on tablet

I got my first graphics tablet today. Oddly, it inverts the brush (so with black selected, the tablet draws white, mouse draws black). Tech support told me it was a Photoshop issue. Is there some setting I need to change in Photoshop?

I have no idea on this one, as I do not own a tablet. Hitting the x key will swap your colors and ctrl / cmd + I will invert your masks.

I also noticed that the cursor doesn't always change with the tablet, but I as soon as I move the pen away, the cursor changes to the correct one based on my tool. Put the pen back near it and it changes to the round circle (brush) cursor. Starting to think there is some software incompatibility issues or something.
