He'd pour a tall drink, and start patiently cloning out the most prominent strand.  He'd ignore all the thinner wisps, because he values his sanity.

Ahh good to know. That was my plan of attack but wanted to check before spending a long time on something that the master might know a short-cut for. Thank you!

So I did the cloning on the main strand and then used your "wonderful dust and scratches filter" with a mask to blur the whipsy ones a little and got a pretty good result I think
