Cindy
I have two odd shaped images / frames of sorts. Attached. I had to hand draw a mask for the circle/sphere one and I know that there must me a easier way. Any thoughts? No matter how I tried I couldn't get a shape to line up even distorting it. I am probably overlooking the obvious.
Damien Symonds
Can you give me the back-story? For what purpose are you masking them?
Cindy
I am using them to place images within for a Christmas card.
Damien Symonds
When you say "hand draw a mask" ... I fear you might actually mean that literally. I fear you're not using the Shift Key?
Cindy
Yes I do... using the shift key and moving, distorting etc doesn't line up I spent hours trying to do it that way. I zoomed 200% and literally painted a mask. There has got to be something easier.
Cindy
Literally. It lines up and works but damn there has to be something easier for me to do the hex one with.
Damien Symonds
What? The hex one is much much much much easier, because it's straight lines!!!
Cindy
I haven't tried the hex one yet. I did the circle one. LOL I am sure the hex will be a lot easier once I figure out where I want the images to land. I just thought there may be a easier way that I am overlooking or just plain stupid. And yes now you know I am a hack also. UGHHHHHH
Damien Symonds
Hang on ... these are transparent files!!! Shit, sorry, I hadn't opened them before now. In that case, just use the Magic Wand tool to click in the space.
