How to Edit the Woeflel Style

I am inspired by Brandon Woelfel's use of artificial light, bokeh and reflections in his low light portraits.  I've always avoided low light portraits.  How does he do it?  Any ideas?

I told Emma, my daughter, you would say that.  The matte look is not my style, but I do like how it looks on low light images.  A starting point to see if I can develop my own style, anyway.

I think your pictures lack the proper lighting to create the "contrasty" look.  The rest is just matte and color grading I think.

Without a RAW file, it's pretty limited, but I came up with this:

Thanks!  I've been playing with the the sliders in Camera Raw and I've decided that I don't like what the colored lights are doing to her skin at all.  I'm going to experiment with white lights see where that takes me.
