Nunzio Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I know its been asked a thousand times . I have just joined the local camera club and would like to submit a pic . The requirements is that you crop to 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels file size not larger than 2 mb . Surly resizing is a more preferred option ? thank you
Damien Symonds Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 No, cropping is the only way to do it. Because those dimensions are a different shape to your native camera file. Try it and you'll see.
Nunzio Posted June 14, 2019 Author Posted June 14, 2019 Ok , thats two things i have learned this week thank you .
Nunzio Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 how do i tell which unit of mesurement im in ? I hopping this is cropped 1200 x 1920 px
Damien Symonds Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 No, you can't use the "Ratio" option for this. You have to use the WxHxResolution option (I think that's what it's called for your version). Then, when you enter the numbers, make sure you add "px" to the end.
Damien Symonds Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Unfortunately, the whole cropping process is far more complex than it used to be. In older versions of PS it was blissfully straightforward.
Nunzio Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 WxHxResolution option (I think that's what it's called for your version). yes that worked , while i did type in px in both boxes it like in one box ?
Damien Symonds Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 If you don't type "px" it will probably default to "in" ... which is fine when you're printing, but bad in present circumstances.
