PaperCrowns Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Brian, Is this a good computer? I know you dislike laptops but this seems to have the right specs. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-8750H-Keyboard-PT515-51-71VV/dp/B07NDVGYZQ/ref=gbps_tit_m-6_3b69_7c2fbc6c?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=db08f08d-45f1-490b-aa6c-1f4d543b3b69&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=14611812011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=43MY9TQ34TCK08KENDSJ
PaperCrowns Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Sorry, I meant to put this in the windows forum.
Brian Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 It does have all the right specs. The only problem that I have with Acer laptops is that if you move them around a lot, like daily here and there, all the time, they don't hold up well physically. Other than that, they are fine. So if you tend to stay in one spot most of the time, and only move it from time to time, you should be good.
PaperCrowns Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Hmm, I travel so that might not work. I have a ASUS 17.3 g47sx , it's a 2011 with windows 7. It's a work horse and very heavy but it meets my needs. I'll keep looking. Thank you for the feed back. 1
PaperCrowns Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 I'm not really planning to upgrade until black Friday, but I want to find what will work for me before I go buy.
Brian Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Hopefully the trend will continue with larger SSD Boot Drives. Even though I really recommend a 1TB drive, you could get away with a 500GB model. Fingers crossed. 1
