csanders Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Hi! I am interested in possibly outsourcing some of my editing. I normally follow Damien's non destructive workflow process - save everything as layered psd files and then sharpen as needed depending on what I am printing (according to Damien's print sharpening class). I am wanting to have someone else do some of my editing/retouching, and I am wondering if there are any other file types that I can get my edited images back in and still proceed with sharpening the way I have been. I asked for layered psd files, but the editor thought that it might be hard with uploading and downloading the file sizes. Thank you for your help!
Damien Symonds Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You have to flatten to sharpen anyway, so I don't see that this is a problem? If it suits both you and your editor to exchange jpeg files, that in no way hinders the output process. 1
