Dyptich

Hello!  I am trying to make a dyptich or a triptich.  I can't seem to cut/paste and I think the reason might be here.  It won't let me use clipboard.  Is that the case and if so...how do I fix this?  Thanks in advance!!!

Nothing in that screen should have any bearing on your ability to cut and paste.

Can you explain more about what you are trying to accomplish? Damien has an excellent tutorial for creating a triptych that'd I'd recommend: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2014/12/preparing-files-for-wrapped-triptych.html  But it sounds like you might be doing something different since cutting and pasting shouldn't be necessary.

Thank you....I read the article but I want to do three separate images.  I watched a video on how somebody else does it and they do cut and paste.  When they start she opens a new file and it's from clipboard.  I thought maybe that's why it wouldn't work for me.  I just want to make a dyp or typ with different images...not the same one.  How should I go about that?

Thanks!!!

Maybe I'm not using the right terminology.  Just a collage of two or three pictures for an assignment the instructor and I've heard it called a triptych or diptych.  I want to create a new image out of two different images.

I want to be able to free transform each image and play with the size.

If you just want to have multiple images on one document you can start with a blank document and then use File > Place Embedded to add the other images to it.

If you want the collage to have a certain design or layout (template) you can create your own following these tutorials: http://www.damiensymonds.net/tut_collage.html

If you just want a couple images side by side with no white space, I'd do it this way: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2011/09/making-before-and-after.html

Perfect!  It worked!  For some reason this time it worked and the clipboard option was open to use.  I "placed" and didn't copy/paste.  Thank you very much.  I will read the articles.  I wanted to go back and transform the collage a bit but it only went to the last one in.  I'll read and see if it's explained as to if it's possible to go back to the first image in.  :)

Thank you so much!!!
