The WRONG reason: Fixing mistakes later Raw images are very flexible and forgiving, and enable you to correct your in-camera errors to a large degree. Stuffed up the exposure? No problem, adjust that slider right there Forgot to change the white balance? Piece of cake, just move that slider there Etc ... But is that a good reason to shoot Raw? Of course not. You should make every effort to control your lighting and master your camera. Never be complacent. Prevention is better than cure, as they say.
