Unsharp Mask settings

Finally, jot down the standard Unsharp Mask settings you use for your web photos. There is an option to tweak those numbers later if you wish, but for now, your usual starting numbers are what we need.

If you’ve never used Unsharp Mask (“USM”) before, it’s time to learn. USM is an incredibly important skill for every photographer to possess. Start by reading this information, then visit this post.

Don’t choose the numbers flippantly – good sharpening is critical to good web images.
